iPhone software 2.0 preview

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

For all of you wondering how iPhone 2.0 will look on the PC/Mac and the iPhone itself including the App Store, wonder no more. Paul Thurrott got his hands on “near-final versions” of iPhone 2.0 and iTunes 7.7 and gave us a short preview of the things to come on July, 11th. Watch out for upcoming (p)reviews of MobileMe and the iPhone 3G itself!

Anyone want to place bets on how long it takes until the new software/baseband is unlocked and everyone will be able to do it again. For the old iPhone that is, doesn’t really make sense for the 3G since you now have to activate in the store rather than taking it home and “activating it there”.

Evil Knievel’s Bike

Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel, Jr. (October 17, 1938 - November 30, 2007) was a motorcycle daredevil and a household name since the late 1960s, and arguably the most iconic motorbike stuntman of all time. Evel Knievel’s highly publicized motorcycle jumps, including his attempt to jump over the Snake River Canyon, claim four of the top 20 most-watched Wide World of Sports events of all time. He enjoyed a lengthy career in this extreme sport despite suffering a series of major injuries during stunts.” - Wikipedia.org

Ferrari Crush
“Apparently there is a problem in Thailand with the illegal smuggling of sports cars into the country. To prevent “car laundering”, the brilliant Thai government decided it was a better idea to destroy these cars to show the importers a lesson, instead of auctioning them off and using the proceeds to fund important programs to help the poor.”
