Mannequin Sessions

Last weekend Daniel had an idea to get a mannequin out of the attic – well it wasn’t exactly the attic, but whatever – and put her into some usual everyday situations. These are the first few shots I found attracting. Can’t wait to see what Daniel can come up with. He used his wide angle during the day. More to come as soon as I’m alive and kicking, stupid cold.

Evil Knievel’s Bike

Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel, Jr. (October 17, 1938 – November 30, 2007) was a motorcycle daredevil and a household name since the late 1960s, and arguably the most iconic motorbike stuntman of all time. Evel Knievel’s highly publicized motorcycle jumps, including his attempt to jump over the Snake River Canyon, claim four of the top 20 most-watched Wide World of Sports events of all time. He enjoyed a lengthy career in this extreme sport despite suffering a series of major injuries during stunts.” – Wikipedia.org

Empty Words

Sometimes you drive around town, even on your regular way to or from work. At some point you see that building, that special event or even that flower on the side of the street. For me it was the building above that I drove by almost every evening when coming home from work. It never popped into my eye until the days got shorter this year and they somehow started to light the building the way they do now.

Granted, that photo might not look anything special for anyone but me, but it just gives me the good feeling that I took the time to look at it through my viewfinder. Maybe I’ll stop there again some time soon, but for now I’m trying to find new things in town. Having lived in Cologne for almost two years now, streets and places really are still connecting in my head. Have I mentioned I don’t particularly like this city? Well, I don’t like this town. On The Way

So here we go again. Back to blogging. The Games Convention has been over for about a month now and, as you might have seen, I spent some time in Berlin and Munich afterwards. What a ride in just a week. It was really great to meet some old friends and see my brother again, but next time I’m just gonna take the plane.

Currently there are some things starting to develop which sound interesting and might be really fun to watch unfold. Let’s hope they end up how I’d like them to. You never know what’s up ahead…

Sitting Alone

The last two weeks feel like I spent most of the days in my car. First we went with crew to the Games Convention in Leipzig. Be sure to check out my photos of that show. After 4 days of carrying tripod, camera and more equipment through the packed halls I took a week off to travel from Leipzig to Berlin to visit some old friends. After 3 days there I decided to leave the city and head south to Munich. Mainly to visit my brother who moved there with his girlfriend some months ago. I have to admit that I wouldn’t mind working there. Who knows what the future might bring…

Being back in Cologne I have only one thing to say: I still don’t like this town. It’s time for something new.
